accRipProfileBackground

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipProfileBackground

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.13.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The background poll interval that RIP will attempt to re-establish a neighbor relationship.

What is accRipProfileBackground?

This OID sets the background poll interval in minutes (0 to 1440) at which RIP attempts to reconnect with previously non-responding neighbors. Network engineers configure this to allow periodic recovery checks without flooding the network; typical values range from 60 to 1440 minutes. Setting to 120 means RIP will periodically check every 2 hours if a dead neighbor has recovered.
