accRipNeighbor

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipNeighbor

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IpAddress

Access: read-write

Description:

A neighbor to whom routing updates are sent, and from whom updates are accepted. RIP neighbors must be on the local network. In the case of an unnumbered link this object indicates the ifIndex of the link the neighbor is connected to.

What is accRipNeighbor?

This OID specifies the IP address of a neighbor device to which the device sends RIP routing updates and from which it accepts updates, and must be on the same local network (or the ifIndex for unnumbered links). You configure this for each adjacent router you want to establish a routing relationship with, ensuring bidirectional routing information exchange. For example, entering 192.168.1.1 makes that IP the RIP neighbor, and the device will exchange routes with the router at that address.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipNeighbor

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipNeighbor.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.5.1.1 a <value>
