accRipNbrTriggered

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipNbrTriggered

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.16.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

Indicates the RIP neighbor is using triggered (on demand) RIP.

What is accRipNbrTriggered?

This OID indicates whether this RIP neighbor is using triggered (on-demand) updates instead of periodic broadcasts. Network engineers enable this to reduce bandwidth on slow or expensive links by sending updates only when routes actually change. Setting to true enables triggered RIP with this neighbor, eliminating wasteful periodic broadcasts.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipNbrTriggered

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.16.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipNbrTriggered.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
