Description:
Number of RIP response and command packets received with errors. Also includes count of packets that could not be handled due to internal errors.
What is accRipInErrors?
This OID counts the total number of RIP packets received with errors or that could not be processed due to internal problems on the device. A growing count here signals that either a neighbor is sending malformed packets or the device is experiencing internal problems that prevent proper packet processing. If this counter jumps by 50 in one minute while inbound response counts are normal, it suggests data corruption or a version mismatch with that neighbor.
