accRipExportMetric

Module: ACC-RIP

OID (symbolic): ACC-RIP::accRipExportMetric

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.18.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The metric that is to be used when exporting a route into the routing domain on the outgoing interface. The value 16 tells RIP to use the protocol owners metric. Reading the value 17 means that this object is not used.

What is accRipExportMetric?

This OID stores the RIP metric (hop count) value, ranging from 0-17, to assign to routes matching this export policy. Network engineers configure this to influence how desirable exported routes appear to receiving neighbors, with 16 meaning use the protocol owner's metric. For example, setting this to 5 gives matching routes a hop count of 5 when exported.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.18.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipExportMetric

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.18.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-RIP::accRipExportMetric.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.16.18.1.7.1 i <value>
