accMspStatCurrentTimeout

Module: ACC-MSP

OID (symbolic): ACC-MSP::accMspStatCurrentTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.76.1.31

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-only

Description: indicates the current timeout value being used. In TIMEOUT mode, this will always be the maximum timeout value. In ACKNOWLEDGE mode, this value varies, but in steady state, it should be close to the Average Closure interval. If it is not, and this value continues to vary, it may indicate MSP activity problems such as high packet loss due to network congestion.

What is accMspStatCurrentTimeout?

This gauge shows the active timeout interval in milliseconds that the MSP protocol is currently using to wait for responses. A stable timeout value indicates good network conditions, but rapid fluctuations signal trouble such as packet loss or intermittent device failures. If this value bounces wildly between 50 ms and 500 ms instead of staying constant, it's a sign that network quality is degrading and you should check for hardware failures, misconfiguration, or congestion.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.76.1.31
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MSP::accMspStatCurrentTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.76.1.31.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MSP::accMspStatCurrentTimeout.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accMspStatCurrentTimeout.1
