This counter tracks the number of RIP redirect packets that were received on the Ungermann-Bass network interface. Network engineers monitor this metric to verify that routing redirects are being received correctly and to diagnose issues with RIP protocol communication. A value of 1250 means the device has received 1,250 redirect packets since the last restart, indicating active routing updates from neighbors.
