Number of hops to destination

What is accDnRtHops?

Stores the number of router hops required to reach the destination node. Network engineers monitor this to detect routing loops, inefficient paths, or convergence problems. For example, a value of 3 means packets must traverse through 3 intermediate routers to reach the target.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.19.22.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accDnRtHops

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.19.22.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-MIB::accDnRtHops.1
