Description:
Source MAC Address Mask for the Filtering entry. The mask is ANDed with the Source address to determine that part of the MAC address which is used in the filtering decision.
What is accBrFiltIIEntSrcMacAddrMask?
This holds a 6-byte mask that specifies which bits of the source MAC address are examined when applying the filtering rule. Network engineers use this to match traffic from specific vendors or segments without hardcoding every individual source device address. A mask of FF:FF:FF:FF:00:00 causes the filter to match on the first four octets of the source MAC, grouping devices into smaller logical groups.
