Description:
Protocol to be used in conjunction with logical operation to determine the disposition of all received packets.
What is accBrFiltIIEntProtocol?
This stores the protocol type (2-byte value) that the bridge filtering rule applies to, such as IP, IPX, or proprietary protocols. Network engineers use this to apply different filtering rules to different traffic types, allowing fine-grained control over what gets forwarded or dropped across the bridge. A value of 0x0800 specifies IP traffic, so the filtering entry only evaluates IPv4 packets against its other criteria.
