Description: When Learning Mode is active, Bridges update their Forwarding Database with dynamic entries learned by inspection of the Source MAC Address of received frames. When learning mode is off, Bridges discard packets which are not indicated as forward in their Forwarding Database.
What is accBrFdbLearnMode?
This OID enables or disables the bridge's ability to automatically learn MAC addresses by inspecting source addresses in received frames. Network engineers enable learning mode for regular dynamic bridging and disable it on security-sensitive ports where only static forwarding rules should apply. For example, setting this to "1" (enabled) allows the bridge to build its MAC address table automatically from network traffic.
