Description: Which protocol to use for an SA in the security association data base

What is accIpsecSAConfigProtocol?

This setting chooses which IPSec protocol to use: ESP (value 50) for encryption and authentication, or AH (value 51) for authentication only. Most modern deployments use ESP because it provides stronger security with both encryption and integrity checking. You'd set this to 50 (ESP) unless you have a specific reason to use AH, such as when the traffic passes through a NAT device that doesn't support encrypted payloads.
