Module: ACC-FLASH

OID (symbolic): ACC-FLASH::accFdbWhichAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.23

Description: Selects whether the MAC address in the forwarding database is to be compared to the destination or source MAC address in the traffic packets.

What is accFdbWhichAddr?

ACC-FLASH::accFdbWhichAddr specifies whether the bridge's forwarding database should match incoming packets based on their destination MAC address or their source MAC address. A network engineer sets this depending on the filtering goal—destination matching is typical for learning where to forward traffic, while source matching is useful for blocking traffic from specific devices. For example, setting this to 'source' lets you prevent packets from a known bad host from entering the bridge.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.23
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-FLASH::accFdbWhichAddr

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.23.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-FLASH::accFdbWhichAddr.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.23.1 i <value>
