accBrMode

Module: ACC-FLASH

OID (symbolic): ACC-FLASH::accBrMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.15

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Bridge mode. When the mode is set to 'passive', internally generated traffic is forwarded or flooded as appropriate; external traffic is not forwarded to other external ports.

What is accBrMode?

This OID controls the bridge's operating mode (typically 'active' or 'passive') which determines how it forwards traffic. In passive mode, the bridge forwards internally-generated traffic but blocks external traffic from reaching other external ports, useful for isolating segments; in active mode, all forwarding proceeds normally. Setting this to 'passive' (value 1) prevents loops and limits broadcast storms between WAN links.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.15
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-FLASH::accBrMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.15.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-FLASH::accBrMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.15.1 i <value>
