accBrFilterDefault

Module: ACC-FLASH

OID (symbolic): ACC-FLASH::accBrFilterDefault

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

The default disposition for all received frames when filter mode is ON. Note: When filtering is ON, and the bridge filter table search does NOT provide a match, the default action will be performed.

What is accBrFilterDefault?

This OID sets the default action ('forward' or 'discard') for frames that don't match any entry in the MAC filter table. Engineers use this to set a 'deny-by-default' posture (discard unknown frames) or 'allow-by-default' posture (forward unknown frames). Setting this to 'discard' (value 1) means only whitelisted MAC addresses are allowed; 'forward' (0) means only blacklisted addresses are blocked.
