accBrFdbTimeout
Module: ACC-FLASH
OID (symbolic): ACC-FLASH::accBrFdbTimeout
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.4.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description:
Time (seconds) for which a learned Forwarding Database entry is valid before being deleted if it has not been seen.
What is accBrFdbTimeout?
This OID sets the timeout period (in seconds, range 10 to 65535) for how long a learned MAC address entry stays in the bridge's forwarding database before being deleted if not seen again. Network engineers configure this value to balance between memory usage and learning responsiveness—shorter timeouts conserve memory but risk dropping valid entries, while longer timeouts keep stale entries longer. For example, setting this to 300 seconds means any learned MAC address that hasn't been seen in 5 minutes will be removed from the forwarding table.
