accBgpPeerPassive
Module: ACC-BGP
OID (symbolic): ACC-BGP::accBgpPeerPassive
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.51.2.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description:
Determines whether or not the local BGP entity will initiate a peer relationship with this BGP peer.
What is accBgpPeerPassive?
This OID determines whether your router will actively initiate a connection to the BGP peer or only wait for the peer to connect. Setting this to passive is useful when peering with a device that cannot reach you directly, such as a peer behind a firewall. For example, you would set this to passive (1) if peering with an external ISP that only initiates outbound connections, and active (0) if you need to initiate the connection.
