What is oVpAtmCipAging?

This OID specifies the idle timeout in seconds; if a CIP-over-ATM circuit remains unused for this duration, the device automatically tears down the connection to free resources. Network engineers tune this to balance resource conservation against connection establishment overhead, especially relevant for dial-on-demand scenarios. For example, setting this to 300 means unused CIP circuits are closed after 5 minutes of inactivity.
