What is oVpAtm1483RetryCount?

This OID defines the maximum number of automatic reconnection attempts the device makes for an RFC 1483 circuit before declaring it permanently down. Network engineers adjust this based on the stability of their WAN link, balancing persistence against service stability. For example, a value of 5 means the device tries to reconnect up to 5 times before stopping and alerting the operator.
