What is oVpAtm1483CongTimeOut?
This OID sets the maximum duration (in seconds) that the device tolerates persistent congestion on an RFC 1483 circuit before treating it as down. Network engineers configure this to prevent false link-down events on bursty Ethernet traffic while ensuring fast detection of genuine failures. For example, setting this to 60 gives the ATM circuit a full minute to clear congestion before failover.
