accAsyncState

Module: ACC-ASYNC

OID (symbolic): ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description:

What is accAsyncState?

This read-write enumerated value controls the operational state of an asynchronous serial port (typically up, down, or disabled). A network engineer would modify this to enable or disable serial connections without physically removing cables, useful for troubleshooting or during maintenance windows. For example, setting accAsyncState to 'up(1)' activates the port for terminal access, while setting it to 'down(2)' disables it until the connection is needed again.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncState

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncState.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.1.1.2.1 i <value>
