accAsyncOverruns
Module: ACC-ASYNC
OID (symbolic): ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncOverruns
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter
Access: read-only
Description:
What is accAsyncOverruns?
This OID counts how many times the asynchronous communication buffer was too full to accept incoming data. Network administrators monitor this counter to identify periods of high traffic where the device couldn't keep up with data arrival. A rising counter value (e.g., 45 overruns in the last hour) indicates the async interface is receiving more data than it can process and needs capacity planning.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.2 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncOverruns
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.2.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncOverruns.1
