accAsyncCarrierLosts

Module: ACC-ASYNC

OID (symbolic): ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncCarrierLosts

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter

Access: read-only

Description:

What is accAsyncCarrierLosts?

This OID counts how many times the async device lost the carrier signal (the detection that a remote device is still connected). Carrier losses indicate the remote modem hung up, the line went dead, or temporary connectivity dropped unexpectedly. A value like 3 carrier losses in a 12-hour period suggests intermittent line problems or remote devices that are disconnecting and reconnecting.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncCarrierLosts

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.68.2.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ASYNC::accAsyncCarrierLosts.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> accAsyncCarrierLosts.1
