accArpType

Module: ACC-ARP

OID (symbolic): ACC-ARP::accArpType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: State of proxy ARP capability.

What is accArpType?

This OID controls whether proxy ARP capability is enabled on the device, allowing it to answer ARP requests on behalf of other devices. Network engineers configure this setting when they need the device to proxy ARP traffic between network segments or subnets. An example configuration is setting this to "enabled", which allows the device to respond to ARP queries for IP addresses it doesn't directly own.

Examples

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ACC-ARP::accArpType.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.11.3.1 i <value>
