Description:

This DisplayString is the network address of the device to which SNMP traps will be sent. This is an IP or IPX address. The following formats can be used. IP nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn - dotted format IPX AABBCCDD:AABBCCDDEEFF - network : node

Destination addresses must be unique within this table. An error is returned if an attempt is made to add a duplicate address.

What is snmpTrapDestination?

The network address (IP or IPX format) where this device will send SNMP traps, configurable by management. Engineers set this to route alarms and events to monitoring stations. Example: a value of 192.168.1.50 directs all traps for this entry to that management server.
