What is a3ComSysSmtFddiMacBeaconHistory?
Stores up to eight historical beacon records (source MAC, beacon length, beacon data) as an octet string up to 256 bytes. Engineers analyze this history to diagnose repeated FDDI ring failures, identify which upstream station is beaconing, and plan topology repairs. A history containing repeated MAC addresses reveals a persistently failing ring segment.
