Description: The status of the entry. Setting the value of a non-existent instance of this object to valid(1) attempts to add the corresponding entry to the table. The effect of adding an entry to the table is to configure the port for monitoring and to disable it for switching. Setting an existing instance of this object to invalid(2) attempts to remove the corresponding entry from the table. The effect of removing an entry from the table is to disable the port for monitoring and to make available for switching.

What is a3ComSysNetworkAnalyzerStatus?

Controls whether an analyzer entry is valid(1) or invalid(2), enabling or disabling port monitoring. Setting this to valid adds an entry and configures the port for packet capture while disabling normal switching; setting to invalid removes it. Engineers use this to enable monitoring on demand without rebooting.
