a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled

Module: A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB

OID (symbolic): A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB::a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29.4.10.2.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: A flag indicating whether or not IP fragmentation is enabled on this bridge. Note that bridges which report notSupported(3) will not support sets of this object, and that the value notSupported(3) is not a valid value for a set operation.

What is a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled?

Controls whether IP packets are fragmented at this bridge as a read-write boolean INTEGER. Enabling fragmentation helps packets traverse networks with different MTU sizes but adds processing overhead. A value of 1 (enabled) allows the bridge to split oversized IP packets into fragments.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29.4.10.2.1.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB::a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29.4.10.2.1.9.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB::a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29.4.10.2.1.9.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> a3ComSysBridgeIpFragmentationEnabled.1
