a3ComSysAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask
Module: A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB
OID (symbolic): A3COM-SWITCHING-SYSTEMS-MIB::a3ComSysAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.29.4.6.6.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: This value is a bit string that indicates which traps are enabled for the address identified by this entry. The octet string value is treated as a 64-bit value. The value is a sum. It initially takes on the value 0, then for each trap which is enabled, 2 raised to the value of (a3ComSysAgentTrapDescriptionIndex - 1) for that trap is added to the sum. A new entry in the table is created by setting the value of this object for a new destination address type and destination address. Note that an octet string of all zeros is not a valid value for this object.
What is a3ComSysAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask?
This read-write OCTET STRING (8 bytes) is a 64-bit bitmask enabling/disabling specific trap types for each destination. Each bit represents one trap; setting bit N enables trap (N+1). Managers use this to filter which of 64 possible trap types reach each receiver.
