a3ComPortStatus
Module: A3COM-PORTPATH-R6-MIB
OID (symbolic): A3COM-PORTPATH-R6-MIB::a3ComPortStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.17.2.1.20
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: RowStatus
Access: read-write
Description: This object is used to add or delete virtual ports. When adding a new virtual port, only the createAndGo method of adding rows is supported. Specifically, all essential elements of the row must be specified in the same SET request PDU.
For a non-dialup (PPP) port, these elements are the circuit identifier (a3ComPortCircuitID), the Parent Port (a3ComPortPath), and the virtual port number (which is specified by the instance identifiers associated with each of these objects). Note, this virtual port number gets mapped uniquely to a port label. It is these port labels that are used to identify ports via the User Interface. For a diaup (PPP) port, these elements are the IncomingCallerID(a3ComPortInCallerId), the dynamic dialpool (a3ComPortPath with value of -1), and the virtual port number.
What is a3ComPortStatus?
This RowStatus OID controls creation and deletion of virtual ports using SET requests. Engineers use it to administratively bring new virtual ports online or remove unused ones from the router. Setting it to 'createAndGo' with all required parameters creates a new virtual port in one atomic operation.

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.17.2.1.20.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> A3COM-PORTPATH-R6-MIB::a3ComPortStatus.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.17.2.1.20.1 s <value>
