a3ComPortInCallerId
Module: A3COM-PORTPATH-R6-MIB
OID (symbolic): A3COM-PORTPATH-R6-MIB::a3ComPortInCallerId
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.17.2.1.24
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: DisplayString
Access: read-write
Description: A text string to specify the effective Incoming CallerID for the port. This object must be successfully set for a port to use the dynamic dial pool. It is used by the port to decide if an incoming call should be accepted. An incoming call on a dynamic dial path must provide a CallerID matching this object's value in order for the call to be accepted. For a non-virtual port, setting this object alone is sufficient to configure the port to use the dynamic dial pool. Note however, that the dynamic pool can only be used as a Secondary dial path, and not as a Primary path, for a non-virtual port. In the case of a virtual dynamic dial port, this object is used in conjunction with objects a3ComPortPath and a3ComPortStatus to create a virtual dynamic dial port.
What is a3ComPortInCallerId?
This OID stores the expected Caller ID string (DisplayString) for incoming dynamic dial connections. Engineers set it to validate that only calls from recognized numbers are accepted on the port. For example, setting it to '555-1234' causes the port to reject calls from any other number.
