This object can be set to 1, 2, 3, or 4 when adding an entry for a LAN interface. For WAN interfaces, this object must be set to 5, 6, 7, or 8.
What is a3ipxAttachedNetFormat?
This integer defines the IPX packet header format (Ethernet, 802.3, 802.2, SNAP for LAN; PPP, Frame Relay, X.25, ISDN for WAN). Correct format selection ensures the router can parse incoming packets and encapsulate outbound ones properly. Setting it to 1 for Ethernet or 5 for PPP tells the router which framing to use.
