Description: The encryption key, used to encrypt all downstream traffic destined to and/or upstream traffic originating from a specific ONU. It is a zero length, or MD5 hashed string, by default, the string is empty.
What is h3cOnuEncryptKey?
This read-write string holds the MD5 hash or plaintext encryption key protecting ONU traffic end-to-end. Security teams configure this to match OLT encryption policies and secure sensitive subscriber communications. An empty string disables encryption; a 32-character MD5 hash activates encryption on all upstream and downstream frames.
