What is axSwitchStatsTTLExceedDrop?

This OID reports the count of packets discarded because their Time-To-Live (TTL) field expired. Network engineers monitor this to detect routing loops or misconfigured default gateways that cause packets to age out prematurely. A rising counter might indicate a hop-count issue: for example, 10,000 dropped packets in an hour suggests packets are traversing one too many hops before reaching their destination.
