What is axSwitchStatsIPFragOverlap?

This OID counts IP fragments with overlapping byte ranges, a malformed condition that can indicate attack payloads or faulty network stacks. Engineers monitor this counter to detect fragmentation-based intrusion attempts and IP stack anomalies. For instance, 100 overlapping fragments in an hour is rare in normal operation but common during fragment-reassembly attacks.
