IPNetwork Monitor – MIBs for Cisco Nexus 3000

Low-Latency, High-Density Layer 2/3 Switches

SNMP monitoring is commonly employed by IPNetwork Monitor’s customers and simplifies network monitoring tasks. The IPNetwork Monitor’s SNMP functionality allows you to monitor any SNMP object on the Cisco Nexus 3000. A built-in MIB browser provides access to all supported variables, their current values, and descriptions from the MIBs.

Supported MIBs
for SNMP management and monitoring of the Cisco Nexus 3000:

  • BRIDGE-MIB
This MIB module defines managed objects for devices compliant with IEEE 802.1 MAC-layer bridge standards.
  • CISCO-AAA-SERVER-EXT-MIB
Extending CISCO-AAA-SERVER-MIB, this module enhances the ‘casConfigTable’ to include additional server address types.
  • CISCO-AAA-SERVER-MIB
This MIB module monitors AAA Server communication and operational status.
  • CISCO-CALLHOME-MIB
This MIB module manages the Call Home feature within Cisco’s Call Home architecture.

  • CISCO-CFS-MIB
This MIB applies to devices with connectivity through a ‘fabric’.
  • CISCO-COMMON-MGMT-MIB
This MIB module integrates various device management elements. It provides a framework (ccmCommonUserTable) for creating a single set of users across all device access methods (e.g., SNMP, CLI, XML).
  • CISCO-COMMON-ROLES-EXT-MIB
This MIB module manages roles common to access methods like CLI, SNMP, and XML. It extends CISCO-COMMON-ROLES-MIB, designed for fixed-feature devices.
  • CISCO-COMMON-ROLES-MIB
This MIB module manages common roles across CLI, SNMP, and XML interfaces.
  • CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB
This MIB facilitates writing configuration files for Cisco IOS SNMP Agents, enabling transfers to/from the network, between running and startup configurations, and to/from the local IOS filesystem.
  • CISCO-ENTITY-EXT-MIB
This MIB extends the ENTITY-MIB (RFC2737).
  • CISCO-ENTITY-FRU-CONTROL-MIB
This MIB monitors and configures the operational status of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and other manageable physical entities listed in the Entity-MIB (RFC 2737) entPhysicalTable. FRUs include components like power supplies, fans, processor modules, and interface modules.
  • CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB
This MIB monitors sensor values within the Entity-MIB (RFC 2737) entPhysicalTable.
  • CISCO-ENTITY-VENDORTYPE-OID-MIB
This module defines object identifiers assigned to Cisco product components, used by the entPhysicalTable of the ENTITY-MIB to uniquely identify each physical entry’s type.
  • CISCO-FEATURE-CONTROL-MIB
This MIB module allows global control (enable/disable) of optional system features.
  • CISCO-FLASH-MIB
    MIB module for Flash operations.
  • CISCO-HC-ALARM-MIB
This module defines Remote Monitoring MIB extensions for High Capacity Alarms.

  • CISCO-IF-EXTENSION-MIB
This MIB module extends the IF-MIB (RFC2863) to provide supplementary interface information not available in other MIBs.
  • CISCO-IMAGE-UPGRADE-MIB
This MIB provides objects for upgrading module images, tracking upgrade status, and identifying compatible image types.
  • CISCO-LICENSE-MGR-MIB
This MIB module provides a method for managing system license files.
  • CISCO-NTP-MIB
This MIB module provides mechanisms to monitor an NTP server.
  • CISCO-PROCESS-MIB
This MIB module describes active system processes.
  • CISCO-RMON-CONFIG-MIB
This module defines configuration extensions for IETF RMON MIBs.
  • CISCO-SECURE-SHELL-MIB
This MIB module displays and configures Secure Shell (SSH) and accounting features.
  • CISCO-SYSLOG-EXT-MIB
This MIB module configures and monitors System Log parameters (RFC 3164).
  • CISCO-SYSTEM-EXT-MIB
This MIB module monitors High Availability, SNMP SET errors, and bandwidths.
  • CISCO-SYSTEM-MIB
This MIB module describes and stores IOS system messages.
