This read-only DisplayString reports the status of the link between this switch and its configured uplink gateway, as tracked by the VRRP subsystem. It reflects the health of the uplink that VRRP uses as an input for triggering failover decisions, distinct from the virtual router's own master/backup state. An admin might see this field report "down" when the uplink gateway becomes unreachable, explaining why VRRP subsequently triggered a switchover.
