Module: ZYXEL-VLAN-STACK-MIB
OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-VLAN-STACK-MIB::zyVlanStackPortMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.89.1.2.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: VLAN stacking mode of the port: Set Normal mode to have the switch ignore frames received(or transmitted) on this port with VLAN stacking tags. Set Access mode to have the switch add the SP TPID tag to all incoming frames received on this port. It is for ingress ports at the edge of the service provider's network. Set Tunnel mode (available for Gigabit ports only) for egress ports at the edge of the service provider's network. In order to support VLAN stacking on a port, the port must be able to allow frames of 1526 Bytes (1522 Bytes + 4 Bytes for the second tag) to pass through it.
What is zyVlanStackPortMode?
This INTEGER sets a port's VLAN stacking role: normal(1) makes the switch ignore VLAN-stack-tagged frames on that port, access(2) has the switch add the service provider's TPID tag to incoming frames at the network edge, and tunnel(3), Gigabit ports only, is used on egress ports at the provider network's edge. Admins choose this per port depending on whether the port faces a customer or the provider core, and must ensure the port can pass 1526-byte frames to accommodate the extra tag. For example, setting a customer-facing port to access(2) has the switch stamp an outer VLAN tag onto every untagged frame entering from that customer.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.89.1.2.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-VLAN-STACK-MIB::zyVlanStackPortMode
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.89.1.2.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ZYXEL-VLAN-STACK-MIB::zyVlanStackPortMode.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.89.1.2.1.1.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> zyVlanStackPortMode.1
