zyTctcmState

Module: ZYXEL-TRTCM-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-TRTCM-MIB::zyTctcmState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.85.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

Access: read-write

Description: Enable/Disable TRTCM (Two-rate three color marker) on the switch. The switch evaluates and marks the packets based on the TRTCM settings. Note: You must also enable DiffServ on the switch and the individual ports for the switch to drop red (high loss priority) colored packets.

What is zyTctcmState?

This read-write object enables or disables the Two-Rate Three-Color Marker feature switch-wide, which evaluates and marks packets as green, yellow, or red based on configured rate thresholds. Enabling this alone isn't sufficient for red-marked packets to actually be dropped, since DiffServ must also be enabled both switch-wide and on the individual ports for the marking to translate into enforcement. An admin enabling zyTctcmState without also enabling DiffServ on the relevant ports would find that packets get marked red as expected but aren't actually being dropped for exceeding their rate.
