OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-SYSTEM-MGMT-MIB::zySysMgmtTftpAction

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.49.1.10.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Action of tftp service. 1: Backup running-config to tftp server, 2: Restore config from tftp server, 3: Merge config from tftp server. Note: This action can access all configuration includes user account and AA configuration.

What is zySysMgmtTftpAction?

This INTEGER triggers a TFTP configuration operation: backupConfig(1) uploads the running config to the server, restoreConfig(2) downloads and applies a config from the server, and mergeConfig(3) merges a downloaded config into the running one; this action touches all configuration including user accounts and AAA settings. An admin uses this to remotely back up or roll out configuration files across switches without local console access. Setting it to restoreConfig(2) after configuring the server IP and filename pulls that file down and applies it as the running configuration.
