zySysMgmtSysStatus

Module: ZYXEL-SYSTEM-MGMT-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-SYSTEM-MGMT-MIB::zySysMgmtSysStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.49.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Bits

Access: read-only

Description: This variable indicates the status of the system. The zyxelSysMgmtSysStatus is a bit map represented a sum, therefore, it can represent multiple defects simultaneously. The sysNoDefect should be set if and only if no other flag is set.

The various bit positions are: 0 sysAlarmDetected 1 sysTemperatureError 2 sysFanRPMError 3 sysVoltageRangeError 4 sysNoDefect

What is zySysMgmtSysStatus?

This read-only BITS value is a bitmap of simultaneous hardware defect flags: sysAlarmDetected, sysTemperatureError, sysFanRPMError, sysVoltageRangeError, and sysNoDefect, where sysNoDefect is set only when no other flag is set. An admin polls this to get a single-object health snapshot of the chassis, catching multiple concurrent hardware problems in one read rather than checking separate sensors. A returned value with only sysTemperatureError set tells the admin the unit is overheating while fans and voltage rails remain normal.
