zyIpv6SnoopingPolicyLimitAddressCount

Module: ZYXEL-IPV6-SNOOPING-MIB

OID (symbolic): ZYXEL-IPV6-SNOOPING-MIB::zyIpv6SnoopingPolicyLimitAddressCount

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.890.1.15.3.109.1.2.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Set this field to limit the number of snooped addresses. For example, if you set this field to 5, then only the devices with these five learned addresses may snooped on the policy at any one time. A sixth device would have to wait until one of the five learned addresses aged out. 0 means no limit.

What is zyIpv6SnoopingPolicyLimitAddressCount?

This read-write INTEGER limits the number of IPv6 addresses that can be snooped under this policy at any one time, with 0 meaning no limit; per the description, once the limit is reached, a new device must wait for an existing learned address to age out before its address can be snooped. Admins use this to cap how many clients can be tracked per policy, guarding against binding-table exhaustion from address scanning or a misbehaving host. For example, setting this to 5 means only five learned IPv6 addresses are snooped under the policy simultaneously, and a sixth device is held off until one of the five ages out.
