Description: Configure bridge control protocol transparency mode for the port. 'Peer' means to process any BPDU (Bridge Protocol Data Unit) received on this port. 'Tunnel' means to forward BPDUs received on this port. 'Discard' means to drop any BPDU received on this port. 'Network' means to process a BPDU with no VLAN tag and forward a tagged BPDU.

What is zyBridgeControlProtocolTransparencyPortMode?

This object sets the per-port handling mode for BPDUs when bridge control protocol transparency is active, choosing between peer (process the BPDU locally), tunnel (forward it transparently), discard (drop it), or network (process untagged BPDUs but forward tagged ones). An administrator configures this per port depending on whether that port faces the switch's own spanning tree domain or a customer network whose BPDUs should just be tunneled through. For example, setting zyBridgeControlProtocolTransparencyPortMode to tunnel(1) on a customer-facing port passes that customer's BPDUs straight through without the local switch interpreting them.
