What Is ZXROS-AMAT-IF-MIB?

This MIB is part of the ZTE ZXROS software family and covers Adaptive Multi-Access Technology (AMAT) interfaces, a hybrid access feature used to combine or manage multiple access-network connections (such as different last-mile technologies) under a unified interface abstraction. Based on its position in the ZXROS MIB tree, it exposes configuration objects for these hybrid-access interfaces, such as interface identification and access-mode settings, though detailed object names were not available from the source excerpt. Its purpose is primarily configuration-status monitoring for the hybrid-access software layer: confirming that AMAT interfaces are correctly configured and reporting the expected access mode, which matters for services relying on multi-access aggregation or failover. It depends on the standard interface (ifIndex) infrastructure of the device, since AMAT interfaces are managed as an overlay on the device's normal interface table. It is typically deployed in access-network or CPE-facing ZXR10/ZXROS devices offering hybrid or bonded last-mile connectivity. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the ZXROS-AMAT-IF-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXROS-AMAT-IF-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXROS access device (hybrid multi-access interface)

Monitoring Examples

Because this module's ASN.1 source did not include a MODULE-IDENTITY description or object list, sample_objects were empty; an operator would typically poll whatever AMAT interface table exists (analogous to amatIfTable/amatIfEntry) to confirm each hybrid-access interface's configured mode matches policy. A mismatch or missing entry would indicate the interface fell back to a single-access mode rather than the intended multi-access aggregation. Full object-level detail would need to be confirmed against the actual compiled MIB file.

What Can Be Monitored

  • AMAT interface configuration
  • interface identification
  • access-mode/status

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Example using zxrosAMATInFilterpackets OID:

Select a ZTE ZXROS access device as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type zxrosAMATInFilterpackets into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, selecting the specific row/instance you want to monitor since this is a table column, then select it and click OK. The number of packets filtered on input on this interface. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is a Counter64-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the counter increases sharply between polls relative to its normal baseline, since an unexpected spike often reflects a real change in traffic or activity. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
