Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management
Description: Defines ZTE access node OFD (OpenFlow Domain) SMI structure for SDN-related management objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZTE-AN-OFD-SMI?
ZTE-AN-OFD-SMI defines the SMI (Structure of Management Information) OID architecture for ZTE's access-node Optical Fiber Diagnosis (OFD) subtree, establishing the registration point under which OFD-related management objects are organized. As a structural/definitional module it does not itself expose runtime monitoring data; rather it anchors the naming hierarchy for objects that would report on optical fiber link diagnostics such as signal loss or fiber degradation on ZTE access nodes. Its relevance to hardware/software status monitoring is indirect -- it is the OID scaffolding beneath diagnostic objects (e.g., optical power levels or fiber fault alarms) defined in dependent OFD MIB modules, rather than a source of status values itself. It depends on and is registered within ZTE's private enterprise OID tree (zxAnOfd) as assigned internally by ZTE's technical department. It is typically loaded alongside functional ZTE optical-diagnosis MIBs on access nodes performing fiber-plant monitoring for PON or other optical access networks. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the ZTE-AN-OFD-SMI file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-OFD-SMI. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE access node (optical fiber diagnosis capable equipment)
Monitoring Examples
A management station would import ZTE-AN-OFD-SMI to resolve the zxAnOfd enterprise OID root before loading dependent modules that define actual optical fiber diagnostic objects (e.g., optical power or fault-alarm counters) on a ZTE access node. The module itself contains no pollable counters -- it exists purely to anchor the OFD object registration hierarchy.
What Can Be Monitored
- OFD (optical fiber diagnosis) OID subtree registration
- namespace anchor for dependent optical-diagnosis MIB modules
- no directly monitorable runtime data (definitional module only)
Imported Objects
From SNMPv2-SMI
