backupxConfigAdminStatus

Module: XYLAN-BACKUP-MIB

OID (symbolic): XYLAN-BACKUP-MIB::backupxConfigAdminStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.800.2.16.1.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object controls the Administrative Status of this Backup Service. Enabled will allow the Backup Service to operate. Disabled will disable the service without deleting it. Delete will disable the backup and delete the backup service configuration record.

What is backupxConfigAdminStatus?

This read-write object controls the administrative state of this backup service, letting an admin set it to enabled(1) to activate the service, disabled(2) to turn it off without removing its configuration, or delete(3) to disable and remove the entry entirely. This distinction between disabled and delete matters operationally, since disabling preserves the configuration for later reactivation while delete permanently discards it. An admin temporarily suspending a backup path during maintenance would set backupxConfigAdminStatus to disabled(2) rather than delete(3), so the configuration can simply be re-enabled afterward.
