xgcpRequestTimeOut

Module: XGCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): XGCP-MIB::xgcpRequestTimeOut

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.90.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The request timeout is used to determine the timeout value used for retransmitting unacknowledged message. It is the responsibility of the requesting entity to provide suitable timeouts for all outstanding commands, and to retry commands when timeouts exceeded.

The default value of this object is 500 milliseconds.

What is xgcpRequestTimeOut?

The timeout, in milliseconds (1-10000, default 500), the gateway waits for an acknowledgment before retransmitting an MGCP/SGCP request; lower it for faster failure detection on a low-latency network, or raise it on a link with higher round-trip delay to avoid needless retransmits.

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.90.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> XGCP-MIB::xgcpRequestTimeOut.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.3.90.1.1.2.1 i <value>
