wwpRadiusClientTimeout

Module: WWP-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): WWP-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpRadiusClientTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.11.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This is the time in seconds between retransmissions to the RADIUS server.

What is wwpRadiusClientTimeout?

This read-write integer, from 1 to 3 seconds, sets how long the RADIUS client waits between retransmissions of an authentication request to the RADIUS server. Admins tune it to balance responsiveness against network load, since a shorter timeout retries faster on a reliable LAN while a longer one avoids flooding a RADIUS server reached over a slower or lossier link. For example, setting wwpRadiusClientTimeout to 3 seconds gives a remote RADIUS server extra time to respond before the client retransmits, useful when the server is reached over a WAN link.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.11.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> WWP-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpRadiusClientTimeout

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.11.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> WWP-RADIUS-CLIENT-MIB::wwpRadiusClientTimeout.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.11.1.1.1.1 i <value>
