wwpFTransferOp
Module: WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB
OID (symbolic): WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB::wwpFTransferOp
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.7.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Used to transfer file(s) between a TFTP server (remote) and the device(local). All transfers are binary. There are three types of file transfers:
sendFile sends a file to the host TFTP server.
getFile receives a file from the host server.
getCmdFile gets the specified file from the host and parses that file for additional operations to be performed. This is the mechanism used to upgrade the device with new software.
What is wwpFTransferOp?
This read-write value selects the type of file transfer operation to perform with a TFTP server: none, sendFile (upload to the server), getFile (download from the server), or getCmdFile (download and parse a command file for further operations, the mechanism used to upgrade device software), defaulting to none. An admin sets this before activating a transfer to specify whether files are being pushed, pulled, or used to trigger a software upgrade sequence. For example, setting this object to getCmdFile(3) and then activating the transfer initiates a device software upgrade driven by the fetched command file.
