wwpFTransferNotifOnCompletion
Module: WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB
OID (symbolic): WWP-FILE-TRANSFER-MIB::wwpFTransferNotifOnCompletion
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6141.2.7.1.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: Specifies whether or not a wwpFTransferCompletion notification should be issued on completion of the tftp transfer. If such a notification is desired, it is the responsibility of the management entity to ensure that the SNMP administrative model is configured in such a way as to allow the notification to be delivered.
What is wwpFTransferNotifOnCompletion?
This read-write boolean, defaulting to true, controls whether a completion notification trap is issued when the TFTP file transfer finishes, and if enabled the admin must also ensure the SNMP notification configuration on the device is set up to actually deliver that trap. An admin disables this when they intend to poll the transfer status manually instead of relying on an unsolicited trap, or leaves it enabled and ensures trap delivery is properly configured to be notified automatically. For example, an admin relying on trap-based automation for firmware upgrades would leave this object at its default of true and confirm SNMP trap destinations are correctly configured.
